About Sungubala Eco Camp
Situated on a secluded mountain farm in the Northern Drakensberg Nature Reserve with views over a peaceful valley, the Sungubala Eco Camp is tucked away in the quiet ambit of nature. In this remote setting, you can immerse yourself in the purity of wild spaces. It’s ideal for nature lovers who enjoy preparing their own meals, exploring hiking trails and relaxing in tranquil settings far away from madding crowds.
The landscape is conserved and preserved, walks leave straight from your front door, and the skies are lit up with stars at night. It also is home to The Silent Woman, a rock carving crafted in the 1950s by artist and wanderer, William Chalmers.
