About Montusi Mountain Lodge
Montusi Mountain Lodge was developed by the Carte family and opened in 2000. The stunning view of the famous Amphitheatre Mountain dictated its position on the large estate that the family spent years rehabilitating from an overgrazed, wattle-infested wasteland to a pristine grassland, attracting naturally occurring plains game and many bird species to the area.
Now the lodge is surrounded by a kilometre of natural beauty in every direction. There are clean rivers, two caves with a waterfall and bushman paintings, a striking mountain, and 4 beautiful dams creating the ultimate private playground for guests.
The lodge complex is spacious and the carefully planned gardens create a sense of privacy for all the accommodation units, while keeping the expansive mountain views available from every window.
ROOM TYPES:
Garden Suites: standard accommodation type. Each free-standing Garden Suite has a bedroom with either a king-size double bed or twin beds, a bathroom with both a bath and a shower, a lounge with tea/coffee station, bar fridge, TV, gas fireplace and private patio.
Mountain Suites: these two units are the most luxurious accommodation options. They are free-standing with a bedroom, bathroom, lounge and patio, however, they have a larger floor area and wood fireplaces. Their architectural design is a little more modern.
Family Suites: suited to families or a group of friends. The Family Suites each have 2 bedrooms which both have their own bathrooms. The bedrooms have either a king-size double bed or twin beds. One bathroom has a bath and the other has a shower. These bedrooms lead onto a shared lounge.
All the accommodation units have excellent mountain views.
