- Triple rooms are not encouraged and are on request. An extra bed can only be fitted into selected rooms at an extra surcharge.
About Cleopatra Mountain Farmhouse
KZN’s leading gourmet getaway tucked deep into the Drakensberg Mountains, near Giant’s Castle. With crystal clear rivers, towering mountains and magnificent scenery, this foodie’s paradise is owned by Richard and Mouse Poynton. With only 12, individually decorated bedrooms, Cleopatra guarantees you a serene and uncrowded gourmet experience in the warm heart of the Drakensberg.
ROOM TYPES:
Standard Rooms: Closer to the hotel, rooms looking out onto the dam. Open plan sitting and bedroom area, with fireplace, en-suite bathroom and separate toilet. King size beds or twin beds in selected rooms. Certain rooms can be twinned.
Luxury Suites: Room 1 is adjoining the standard rooms. Room 8 and Room 12 are little further away from the hotel. Separate sitting area from the bedroom. These are slightly bigger than the Standard Rooms. Views of the mountain and gardens. Fireplaces in each Suite.
Executive Suites: These Suites are a little more private and further away from the hotel. Room 7 has 2 x Lounges and 2 x Fireplaces. Room 9 has 2 x bathrooms (a “his” and a “hers”. Mountain and garden views. Both suites have king size beds.
Executive Cottages: Stand-alone private units, away from the main hotel. Each cottage has a patio overlooking the wetland with glorious views of Mt. Lebanon. Spacious, open plan lounge and bedroom area with a fireplace. Separate dressing room, separate toilet and en suite bathroom
