About Crystal Springs Mountain Lodge
This self-catering resort is perched atop the historic Robber’s Pass—an old coach road once infamous for highway robberies during the late 1800s—now a scenic path leading to the gold rush town of Pilgrim’s Rest. Both the road and town share intertwined tales of bygone days, from lawless outlaws to fledgling gold seekers, giving the location a unique blend of heritage and mystery.
Today, Crystal Springs stands amidst that legacy on a 2,400-hectare sanctuary of cliffs, gorges, forested ravines, and rolling escarpments where wildlife like zebra, giraffe, antelope, and even leopard roam freely
