About Timamoon Lodge
Timamoon is an exclusive privately owned and family run lodge in the Sabie valley mountains close to the famous Kruger Park and Blyde River Canyon.
From the moment you cross the mighty Sabie River and enter Timamoon’s lush hideaway of palms, bamboo, peacocks and endless unspoilt views, you get a sense of the passion that it has taken to bring together this gorgeous boutique lodge.
Art and exotic artefacts on display have been collected by the Hammond family from all over the world for the past 35 years and give each individual villa an unique eclectic mood. The merging styles from Bali, Morocco, India and Zanzibar are perfectly matched, enhancing the moorish feel that is Timamoon.
All villas are secluded with tropical gardens, private pools, fireplaces, oversized baths, outdoor showers and outside daybeds to enjoy the superb views that surround the villas. The opulence of space and amber colour walls creates a sensuous experience that is perfect for that ultimate romantic getaway.

Getting There
Please be aware there is a 4km dirt road to get to the lodge so if you do have a 4×4 it would probably be a preferred choice, however, many guests who visit the lodge do not have a 4×4, please avoid coming in low-slung vehicles.
Try to avoid travelling in the area after dark as livestock does wonder into the roads.
The suggested route from Johannesburg (± 4 hours) is Witbank / Middleburg/ Machadodorp Toll Plaza on the N4.
Then about 25km before Nelspruit there will be a Sabie and a Sudwala Caves sign on your left.
Follow the signs to Sabie (If you hit a dirt road turn back as you have missed the turn off to Sabie.)
In Sabie look out for the Hazyview Road (R536).
Travel for 25 km and you will see the Timamoon sign on your left. (Three large Moroccan pillars)
You will travel for 4 km on a small winding dirt road over the Sabie River and up to Timamoon.
Confirm arrival at reception. Should there be any problems, please do not hesitate to contact the lodge.
The suggested route from Kruger Mpumalanga Airport (65 km from Sabie = 45 minutes to 1 hour) – take the R 538 towards White River, then take the R 40 to Hazyview.
Travel through Hazyview still on the R 40 and turn left at the Sabie sign (R536).
Travel for 18 km and you will see the Timamoon sign on your right.
