Luxury Tents – The luxurious tents have become a sought-after choice for discerning travellers. The main suite of each tent boasts a lavish en suite bathroom complete with a free-standing bath and a private shower and toilet. Luxury Suites – Linked by raised, level walkways, the Luxury Suites are a study in timeless elegance. Each feels like a private bush residence, spacious and calm. The opulent Luxury Suites are built 4 meters above the mountain cliff, providing a awe-inspiring vantage point of the valley beyond. Each of these large suites hosts a main bedroom, large private lounge and luxurious bathroom. Superior Boardwalk Suites – Rising 4 meters above the ground, the Superior Boardwalk Suites boast a private balcony that unveils unparalleled views of the majestic Zuurberg Mountain Range. Poolside Superior Suites – A flexible and spacious option for families! Each suite exudes elegance and comfort, with the main bedroom featuring a luxurious king-size bed. The smaller room provides two cozy single beds for added convenience, with both areas sharing a large bathroom. The two Poolside Suites are interleading which, when booked together, can accommodate up to four adults and four children with ease. Babysitting services are available upon request for parents seeking adventure in the nearby Addo Elephant National Park. LODGE FEATURES:

Activities at the lodge are focused on the wildlife in the Addo Elephant National Park and include guided morning and afternoon game drives. If you’ve done many a game drive, then you’ll love the opportunity to grab those walking sticks and head out on a guided walk and immerse yourself in the beauty and detail of Camp Figtree’s diverse reserve. Our expert guides can provide insight into local wildlife, be it the private life of the dung beetle or the intricacies of the elephant’s social system.

Addo Elephant National Park

Half Day Game Drives operate twice daily at 8:00 am (8.30 am in winter) and 2:00 pm. This is a guided drive through the National Park with our resident rangers and own open game viewer vehicles.
Cost includes a drink, snacks & Addo Park conservation fee.
Duration: +- 3 hours, excluding travel time from Camp Figtree to main gate.
Full Day Game Drives depart Camp Figtree at 8:00 am (8.30 am in winter) and return approx.
6 pm. This is a guided drive through the National Park with our resident rangers and own open game viewer vehicles.
Cost includes lunch, drinks, snacks & Addo Park conservation fee.
No children under the age of four permitted on game drives, but babysitting services available upon request. Minimum 2 pax per game drive. Prices are subject to seasonal change without notice.

Safari with Giraffes:
Enjoy a morning or afternoon walking safari with Giraffes and a Buffalo experience in a game vehicle. These experiences are offered by Bellevue Forest Reserve.
Transfers to and from Bellevue Forest Reserve, one hour’s travel time from Camp Figtree.

Schotia Tooth & Claw:
Schotia is a private reserve next to Addo National Park. The Tooth & Claw Safari departs Schotia reception at 3:00 pm in open Land Rovers and returns to Schotia reception at 9:00 pm(times change from 1st April until 31st August, when Safari departs at 2:00 pm and returns at 8:00 pm).The drive includes a drink break and a boma dinner prepared over the open fire. Schotia team members pride themselves on the viewing of the rhino, hippo, giraffe and lion. After dinner a short spot lit night drive provides the possibilities of spotting nocturnal animals. Highly recommended!
Duration: 6 hours, including dinner and drinks
Transfers to and from Schotia are possible, one hour’s travel time from Camp Figtree.

Safari with Elephants:
Elephant safari is a must-do if you want to learn more about these magical creatures and get up close and personal. You will have time to walk with the elephants, feed them and take photographs from very close. These animals were saved from culling in the Kruger National Park and are treated extremely well.
Duration: +- 2 hours. Walks depart at 8:00 am and 11:00 am.
Note: the road to Barefoot Addo Safari is not great, and if you do not have a SUV or 4×4 vehicle, we recommend a transfer to and from Barefoot Addo. Allow one hour’s travel time from Camp Figtree. Transfers to Barefoot Addo are provided at an additional cost.

Adrenalin Addo:
If you are feeling adventurous, the highest, longest and fastest double zipline in South Africa is right here in Addo. For the zipline a low level of fitness is required in order to hike the 480 m to the departure point. Training shoes are recommended.
Duration: 45 min.
Transfers to and from Adrenalin Addo are possible, one hour’s travel time from Camp Figtree.

Onsite activities:
Bush walks: Guided nature walks through the Camp Figtree property, focusing on the environment, local fauna and flora, birds and insects. Walks depart on request and availability of ranger.
Duration: 1 hour 30 min walk. Includes drinking water.
Bush picnic: Indulge in a picnic spread and savour the beauty of your surroundings. Please speak to a member of staff to find out about availability. Selected drinks are included in the picnic.
Bush walk and picnic combo: Experience the best of both worlds. Please speak to a member of staff to find out about availability.
Mountain E-bike rides: Explore the rugged beauty of the Eastern Cape on a Mountain E-bike ride with a knowledgeable guide, who will lead you along routes that range from beginner to advanced difficulty. Departing twice daily at 8:30 am and 3:00 pm, and accommodating a maximum of three guests. Based on ranger availability.
